HS Roundup 12/4: Bartley, Westbeld shine in Fairmont’s GWOC opener

Madeline Westbeld and Madison Bartley turned in double-double performances, combining for 57 points in Fairmont’s 86-33 win versus Springfield in girls basketball on Wednesday.

Westbeld tallied 29 points with 12 rebounds and Bartley had 28 points with 11 rebounds.

Mallory Hullinger tacked on 17 points to round out the double-digit scoring for Fairmont, which improved to 4-0.

Girls Basketball

Carroll 61, Fenwick 36: Julia Keller and Megan Leraas led Carroll with 13 points apiece.

Chaminade Julienne 47, Alter 38: Staci Greene and Jordyn Varise chipped in 11 points apiece and Eve Monaghan added 10 for CJ. Caraline Kernan paced Alter with 13 points.

Fairfield 54, Middletown 48: Karlee Mills poured in 29 points for Fairfield, including a 13-of-15 performance from the foul line. Oliva Wells and Aryanna Ingram had 12 points apiece for Middletown.

Greenville 42, Troy 35: Morgan Gilbert sank 11 foul shot on her way to 21 points to lead Greenville. Macie Taylor tallied 20 points for Troy, 16 of which came in the second half.

Lakota West 59, Princeton 55: Chance Gray chipped in 22 points, Kailyn Dudukovich added 13 and Nevaeh Dean 12 for Lakota West.

Lebanon 51, Miamisburg 41: Kendall Folley led Lebanon with 19 points and Sam Feldmann chipped in 10 points with 16 rebounds. Anna Long had 23 points in the loss for ‘Burg.

Purcell Marian 46, Badin 34: Janay Rose and Kara King combined for 28 points to lead Purcell Marian, which held Badin to one point in the final quarter. Jada Pohlen finished with nine points for Badin.

Sidney 70, Fairborn 65, OT: Lexee Brewer put up 20 points Allie Stockton 19 and Samantha Reynolds 13 for Sidney.

Springboro 54, Northmont 28: Peyton Nation scored 15 points and Jordan Hobbs 11 to lead ‘Boro, which improved to 3-0. Dasia Turner tallied 13 points for Northmont.

Wayne 64, Beavercreek 33: Bree Hall chalked up 23 points and Lovie Malone and Alyssa Hargrove-Hall tacked on 11 apiece to pace Wayne. Maci Rhoades led ‘Creek with 11 points and Anna Landing added 10.

Boys Bowling

Ben Logan 2382, North Union 1859: Brady Stover paced Ben Logan with a 396 series, Zach Boger added a 213 game and Bryce Loomis a 210 game.

Greeneview 2309, Catholic Central 2214: Braedon Brenneman notched a 357 series and Darian England added a 352 to lead Greeneview.

Middletown 2737, Mason 2646: James Prater rolled a 298 game on his way to a 502 series to pace Middletown. Austin Smith added a 412.

Northmont 2420, Springboro 1881: Triston Haworth bowled a 458 series and Josh Hanssen added a 437.

Girls Bowling

Ben Logan 2260, North Union 1917: Erica Warne finished with a 410 series and Kaylee Nicholas a 397 for Ben Logan.

Middletown 1879, Mason 1734: Emily Cupp tallied games of 170 and 185 to lead Middletown.
