HS Results 12/16: Stebbins wins 3rd straight, Belmont beats Northmont

Boys Basketball

Miamisburg 62, Valley View 39: Savon O’Neal recorded a career-high 16 points and Duncan Hall added 12 for ‘Burg. Clayton Erbaugh paced Valley View with 12.

Stebbins 63, Tecumseh 58: Jonathan Mpanzu had 12 points to help lead Stebbins to a three-game win streak. Randy Collins had 15 for Tecumseh.

Belmont 78, Northmont 75, OT: Kendall Moore paced Belmont with 22 points and Belmont improved to 5-0. Ryan Foy led Northmont with 16.

Lebanon 62, Fenwick 44: Harrison Hoofkin had 15 points, Zach Huffman 13 and Drew Sekerak 12 to lead Lebanon. C.J. Napier had 15 for Fenwick.

Harrison (IN) 76, Ponitz 57: Damonte Bailey put up 19 points with 14 rebounds and Darrion Mosley chipped in 15 points for Ponitz.

Canton Glen Oakes 74, Stivers 52: Nazir Rolack recorded 15 points with 13 rebounds and was named a player of the game for Stivers at the Hoops for Heart Classic.

Bellbrook 60, Northridge 45: Donnie Crouch tallied 20 points and Jack Campbell and Braedon Gedeon spurred the defensive effort for Bellbrook.

Milton Union 53, Miami East 40: Aaron Stone poured in 23 points for MU. Austin Rutledge scored 15 for East.

Triad 75, Ridgemont 48: Hadley LeVan and Briley Harlan combined for 51 points, with LeVan scoring 29 and Harlan 22 for Triad.

National Trail 58, Centerville (IN) 49: Cameron Harrison had 23 points, including seven three-pointers, for Trail.

Mississinawa Valley 48, Troy Christian 37: Ethan Bowman had 13 points and Matt Slob added 12 for MV.

Dayton Christian 55, Dixie 49: Matt Welker paced DC with 21 points. Devin Worley had 18 for Dixie.

Legacy Christian 65, Newton 42: Erik Uszynski scored 16 points and Keano Hammerstrom 11 to lead Legacy. Kletson Wehrig had 15 for Newton.

Fort Loramie 67, New Bremen 31: Dillon Braun had 19 points and Tyler Siegel 14 for Fort Loramie.

Springfield 56, Fairborn 40: Mickayla Perdue paced Springfield with 23 points and eight steals and Caralyssa Byrd added 16 points with eight rebounds for Springfield. Evelyn Oktavec had 19 for Fairborn.

Wayne 61, Miamisburg 38: Olivia Trice led the effort with 17 points and Aubryanna Hall added 14 for Wayne. Alex Sperry paced ‘Burg with 12.

Trotwood 86, Stebbins 29: Shai McGruder poured in 27 points with seven steals and six rebounds and Mercedes Woodward added 17 points with 11 rebounds for Trotwood.

Hamilton 50, Lakota East 47: Kira Ash recorded 21 points and CiCi Riggins added 17 as Hamilton completed a fourth-quarter rally.

Sycamore 52, Middletown 39: Aubriana Bellard scored 16 points and Aliyah Burks added 14 in a losing effort for the Middies.

Fairfield 57, Colerain 17: Shaniya Reese led a balanced attack with 13 points for Fairfield.

Carroll 45, Fenwick 30: Allie Stefanek carried Carroll with 17 points and Julia Keller hauled in 10 rebounds. Jenna Adams had 12 points for Fenwick.

Alter 49, Chaminade Julienne 41: Kourtney Klug led Alter with 15 points. Dallas Jones had 13 for CJ.

McNicholas 39, Badin 35: Emma Broermann scored 11 points but Badin’s rally effort fell short.

Talawanda 54, Harrison 40: Getting double-double efforts from Addie Brown (24 points 11 rebounds) and Kyra Koontz (11 points 14 rebounds) Talawanda picked up its first conference win.

Waynesville 81, Madison 37: Rachel Murray had 19 points and Aubrey Rains and Marcella Sizer chipped in 13 apiece. Lille Runnels had 12 for Madison.

Milton Union 52, Dixie 44: Kristen Dickison tallied 20 points and eight rebounds and Olivia Brown added 15 points for Milton. McKinlee Ruppert led Dixie with 19.

Bellbrook 59, Monroe 28: Kayla Paul scored 15 points in three quarters of action and Maren Freudenschuss added on 14 for Bellbrook.

Valley View 54, Brookville 27: Hunter Stidham had 14 points for Valley View, including her 1,000th career point.

Preble Shawnee 55, Northridge 27: Leslie Lane led Northridge with 13 points in a losing effort.

Kenton Ridge 60, Indian Lake 41: Mikala Morris recorded 22 points and Desiree Jones added 16 for KR.

Tecumseh 86, Bellefontaine 41: Presley Griffitts poured in 31 points with 10 rebounds and 10 steals, including her 1,000th career point, to lead Tecumseh.

Graham 45, Northwestern 24: Brooke Johannes put Graham ahead with 24 points and Katelyn Nash tacked on 12.

Ben Logan 65, Urbana 28: Alaina Lyons scored 14 points in a losing effort for Urbana.

Arcanum 47, National Trail 38: Kayla O’Daniel had 16 points for Arcanum, which got off to a hot start with an 11-5 run to start the game. JaLynn Byrd led Trail with 13 points.

Twin Valley South 52, Tri-County North 45: Mylan Crews scored 22 points for TVS. Megan Poling had 22 and Aubrey Stupp 17 for TCN.

Newton 60, Ansonia 37: Tatum McBride recorded 24 points and Anna Wolfe 16 for Newton.

Miami East 46, Bradford 28: Maria Staton carried East with 15 points. Skipp Miller scored 11 in a losing effort for Bradford.

Cedarville 62, Catholic Central 42: Ise Bolender carried Cedarville with 22 points. Abbigail Peterson had 19 for Central.

Coldwater 2871, Mississinawa Valley 2429: Evan Diller rolled a 506 series to help Coldwater improve to 5-0.

Versailles 2661, Coldwater 2495: Emily Fortener and Alison Fox each bowled a 202 game for Coldwater.

Wrestling

Fairmont Firebird Classic: Graham scored a 530 to win the tournament. Trace Braun, Tanner Jordan, Alex Martin, Nick Moore, Isaiah Stickley, Mitch Moore, Joey Sanchez, Ryan Thomas, Rocky Jordan, Andrew Shaffer, Gage Braun, Johnny Shafer and Khrizdon Vanhoose all had first-place finishes for Graham in their respective weight classes. Eaton’s Wade Monebrake won the 132-pound weight class.

Xenia Invitational: Northwestern scored a 213, Celina 177.5, Southeastern 174, Xenia 172 and West Jefferson 160.5 to round out the top five.

Tipp Red Devil Invitational: Miami East edged Valley View by ten points for the first-place finish. Mason placed third, Chaminade Julienne fourth and Oakwood fifth.

Middletown Madison Invitational: Badin edged Coldwater 242.5 to 224. Campbell County was third, Madison fourth and Milton Union fifth. Thomas Schwieterman went 5-0 on the day, including his 100th career victory, for Coldwater.

Washington C.H. Pool Tournament: Teagan and Devan Hendricks each had a first-place finish for Greeneview.

Versailles Invitational: Major Stratton went 4-0 including a pair of pins and Austin VanHoose had a 3-1 day for West Liberty-Salem.
