Versailles (17-3) is the second seed in its upcoming Division III sectional. Tri-Village (19-1) is the top seed in its Division IV sectional.
Kami Ording sank three 3-point goals in the first half, which ended with Versailles clinging to a 24-20 lead. The Tigers then utilized a taller lineup for the second half, allowing them to rebound more effec-tively and play at a faster pace. The result was a 15-4 third quarter that widened the gap to 39-24.
“We were able to get the ball up and moving in the third quarter and our zone defense really stifled them,” Stonebraker said.
Kami McEldowney led Versailles with 13 points, while Ording and freshman Lindsey Winner added 10 each. Allie Downing scored 9 and Danika Mann 8 for Tri-Village.
McEldowney, Ording, Camille Watren, Brynna Blakely, Emily Langenkamp, Bailey Huffman and Clair Schmitmeyer were recognized before the game. All have been in the program four years.
