Division V, Region 20

West Liberty-Salem 14, Taft 13: Trevor Woodruff completed a 29-yard TD pass to Holden Nease and Nease added a 15-yard TD run as WLS jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter then held off a Taft rally in the second half.

Nease racked up 110 yards rushing along with two catches for 30 yards and Woodruff finished 13-of-18 for 179 yards.

The win sets up a regional final matchup with a familiar foe in West Jefferson (11-1), which split with WLS (11-1) for the Ohio Heritage Conference North title. West Liberty-Salem edged West Jefferson 42-39 in a regular season game on Oct. 18.

West Jefferson 62, Springfield Shawnee 28: Robie Glass scored all four touchdowns for Springfield Shawnee but by the time Glass put Springfield Shawnee on the board with a five-yard TD run in the second quarter West Jefferson had already tallied 49 points.

Tyler Buescher tossed four touchdowns and Gabe Jones ran for three more to pace West Jefferson.

Springfield Shawnee closes the season at 9-3.

Division VII, Region 28

New Bremen 42, Lima Perry 14: Mitchell Hays threw a TD pass, ran for two more and returned an interception for a touchdown all in the first half in leading New Bremen.

Zach Bertke added two rushing scores and Patrick Wells hauled in a 15-yard TD catch from Hays as New Bremen jumped out to a 42-0 lead in the first half.

New Bremen (9-3) moves on to face Marion Local (10-2) in a Midwest Athletic Conference regional final showdown.
