Reds put Votto on injured list

The Cincinnati Reds placed Joey Votto on the 10-day injured list Sunday and reinstated starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani from the injured list.

Josh Van Meter took Votto’s place at first base. DeSclafani will make his first start of the season.

The Reds (2-5) were rained out Saturday and play the Detroit Tigers in a doubleheader Sunday. The first game was scheduled to start at 12:10 p.m. but was delayed by rain.
