With wide receivers Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu headed into free agency, that will be a position that gets a lot of focus from the Bengals coaches this week at the NFL Scouting Combine.
New offensive coordinator Ken Zampese said the team won’t necessarily be looking for a clone of Jones or Sanu, should one or both opt to sign elsewhere.

“There’s probably more to it than that,” he said. “There’s not always a guy that looks just like Marv or just like Mo. Everybody is so unique, and therein lies the individual greatness of each guy. So you find the one that you say, oh gosh, I can do something with this guy. He can do this for us.
“That’s why you really have to get to know these guys so well,” he continued. “That’s why our assistants do such a good job and we’ve had positive drafts in recent years because our guys are so well versed on what they’re looking for, how it fits and then the collaborative effort of what can we do with this guy so he can play early.”
