Ohio State pulls offensive line prospect out of Wisconsin

Carson Hinzman plans to be a Buckeye.

The Hammond, Wisc., native announced Tuesday he will sign with Ohio State next month over his home-state Wisconsin Badgers.

He is the No. 2 prospect in the Badger State and the No. 6 interior offensive lineman in the country.

The four-star prospect joins a 2022 class that previously consisted of 19 high schoolers.

He is the fourth lineman in the class, joining Lakota West’s Tegra Tshabola, George Fitzpatrick of Englewood, Col, and Avery Henry of St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Tshabola is a four-star prospect and the No. 10 tackle in the country while Fitzpatrick is No. 26 and Henry is No. 117.

Before Hinzman’s commitment, Ohio State had the No. 1 class in the Big Ten and No. 4 group in the country behind Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia.
