Ohio State football: Cincinnati kicker commits to boot for Buckeyes

Ohio State added another recruit to the 2020 class Tuesday afternoon with the verbal commitment of Jake Seibert.

A kicker from Cincinnati La Salle, he also had offers from UCLA, Michigan State, Air Force, Temple and Penn according to 247Sports.com.

He is the 10th player to commit to Ohio State in this cycle, the fourth from Ohio and the third from Cincinnati.

Seibert made 16 of 17 PAT kicks last season for the Lancers and went 6 for 6 on field goals with a long of 46 yards.

The other two Queen City commits for Ohio State are Paris Johnson Jr. of Princeton and Jakob James of Elder. They are both offensive linemen, as is Norwalk’s Trey Leroux, the other Ohio native in the class.

Prior to adding Seibert, Ohio State's class ranked ninth in the nation and No. 1 in the Big Ten according to the 247Sports Composite.
