Michigan (10-1) stayed at No. 3, setting up a No. 2 vs. No. 3 showdown at Ohio Stadium at noon Saturday.
The big question remains: what will happen to the winner of the Ohio State-Michigan game if neither team plays in the Big Ten championship game? Penn State can clinch the East Division’s berth in the title game by beating Michigan State on Saturday.
Clemson (9-1) stayed at No. 4. There were no changes in the top four. Washington (9-1) moved up one spot to No. 5. Wisconsin (8-2). also climbed a spot to No. 6.
Penn State (8-2) is the fourth Big Ten team in the top 10. It moved from No. 8 to No. 7. Oklahoma ranks eighth. Louisville (8-2), the only team in the top 10 to lose last week, fell from No. 5 to No. 11 after losing 36-10 to Houston.
This was the second-to-last playoff ranking released before the four playoff semifinalists are named at noon Dec. 4, the day after the Big Ten championship game.
