Barrett is coming off a season in which he was 4-1 as a starter for the Buckeyes and played big roles in wins over Michigan and Notre Dame.

He was 11-1 as a starter in 2014 when he set numerous school records and was a semifinalist for the O’Brien Award.

He enters the season needing to be responsible for 11 touchdowns to tie Wayne High School product Braxton Miller’s school record of 88.

Barrett is also on the watch list for the Maxwell Award, a national player of the year honor.
