Leon Hall picks Giants over Bengals

Free agent cornerback Leon Hall had an offer to return to the Cincinnati Bengals, but the team’s 2007 first-round pick opted instead to sign with the New York Giants on Thursday.

Hall, who had offseason back surgery, is expected to be the starting slot cornerback for the Giants, whereas he likely would have backed up Darqueze Dennard had he returned to Cincinnati.

“Obviously we think the world of Leon and his family,” Lewis said. “We just wish him the best of luck. These guys have to make decisions that they make, just like we make decisions. You are happy for Leon. It’s good for him. He feels really good about it, and that’s good.”
