Kendall Pollard to make season debut Saturday

Dayton Flyers forward missed first six games

Dayton Flyers senior forward Kendall Pollard will make his season debut Saturday when UD plays Winthrop at 2 p.m. at UD Arena.

Pollard had offseason knee and wrist surgery and returned to practice in October but then suffered a thigh contusion two days before the exhibition game against Findlay. He did not play in the first six games. Dayton coach Archie Miller said on Wednesday he expected Pollard to return to practice soon, and Pollard was back at practice this week, Miller told WHIO's Larry Hansgen on Saturday.

Pollard broke the news of his return on Twitter, posting a photo of his shoes in front of his locker and writing simply, “Today.”

Scoochie Smith reacted to Pollard's return on Instagram and wrote, "Welcome back bro."
