High Schools: State softball, regional baseball pushed back a day due to inclement weather

All games scheduled for Thursday will be played Friday

All state softball semifinal games and regional final baseball games scheduled for Thursday have been postponed until Friday due to rain.

Lakota West will face Massillon Perry at 12:30 p.m. Friday in the Division I softball semifinals. Bradford will face New Riegel at 3 p.m. Friday in the Division IV semifinals. All state softball championship games will now be played Sunday at Firestone Stadium in Akron.

BASEBALL

In Division I, Vandalia Butler will play Mason at 2 p.m. Friday at Day Air Ballpark. The regional final will be played at 11 a.m. Saturday at Day Air Ballpark.

In Division II, Badin will play Cincinnati Wyoming at 2 p.m. and Carroll will play Marengo Highland at 5 p.m. at Mason High School. The regional final is Saturday at 2 at Mason.

In Division III, Springfield Shawnee faces Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 2 p.m. at Wright State’s Nischwitz Stadium. The final is at 5 p.m. Saturday at WSU.

In Division IV, Cedarville meets Fort Loramie at 2 p.m. and Russia meets Lancaster Fisher Catholic at 5 p.m. at Cincinnati Princeton High School. A start time for Saturday’s final has not been determined.
