Springfield’s Davis catches TD in Wisconsin opener

Springfield High School graduate Danny Davis caught a 53-yard touchdown pass for Wisconsin in a 45-7 victory against Illinois on Friday in Madison, Wisc. It was the first game of the Big Ten season.

Davis caught one other pass for 19 yards.

In four seasons, Davis has 98 catches for 1,158 yards and 12 touchdowns.
