Springfield’s Thaddeus Snodgrass won the 100 (11.43) and the 200 (23.05) and was on the first-place 400 relay team (45.54). The Wildcats were second with 112 points.
In the girls meet, Tecumseh’s Jasmine Redman was first in the 1,600 (5:46.54) and the 3,200 (12:31.94). The Arrows finished second with 100 points. Washington Court House won the meet with 151 points.
Shawnee’s Carly Gregory also won two events, the 100 hurdles (17.32) and the pole vault (7-6).
Baseball
Jordan Huggins pitched a four-hit shutout with seven strikeouts as Shawnee beat host Indian Lake, 2-0. Ben Rowland’s RBI single helped spark a two-run second for the Braves (4-2, 3-0 Central Buckeye Conference).
• Jordan Hitt had 14 strikeouts, Luke Pavlatos and Brad Woods both had three hits each as Southeastern (6-1, 3-1 Ohio Heritage Conference) beat host Cedarville 7-2.
• Collin Johnson’s RBI single in the fourth was the game-winner as Graham edged Stebbins 4-3. Luke Black had eight strikeouts for the Falcons (2-6, 1-2 CBC).
Softball
Shawnee scored seven runs with two outs in the top of the seventh to rally past Indian Lake, 15-11.
Marta Lockwood went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple and five RBIs and Emily McKillip was 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and four RBIs for the Braves (5-2, 3-0 CBC).
• Leanna Pittsenbarger threw a two-hitter with nine strikeouts and Kacie Purinton knocked in two runs as Urbana (7-1, 3-0 CBC) beat Tecumseh 7-0.
• Kaitlyn Kite hit a grand slam and Becka Peterson added a three-run home run and nine strikeouts as West Liberty-Salem (7-0) beat Kenton 16-5 in five innings.
• Mayelin Beekman tossed a four-hitter with eight strikeouts as host Emmanuel Christian (2-0, 2-0 Metro Buckeye Conference) beat Miami Valley 4-1.
Boys Tennis
Sam Smith, Ross Smith and Luke Schlicher lost only four games in singles action as Kenton Ridge blanked host Bellefontaine 5-0. The Cougars are a perfect 6-0 and 6-0 in the CBC.
• Nauman Rauf outlasted Eric Whitt 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 in first singles as Springfield improved to 3-0 with a 4-1 win over Greenon (1-4).
• Blair Lehmkuhl and Michael Schmid each won in singles, while the doubles teams of JC Shull and Alex Cunningham and Bryce Haythe and Dakota Smith each won as Northeastern (5-0, 3-0 OHC) beat Catholic Central 4-1.
