And then there was one. The final week of the high school football season is here with enough playoff points on the line to put some Miami Valley teams in and keep some others on the sidelines.

Here are five games that you might want to keep an eye on because our
cameras will certainly be watching.
Wayne (7-2) at Trotwood (9-0)
Both of these teams are already in the field, but the Warriors need to win to have a chance at hosting a first-round game. The Rams are averaging 56 points a game this season. Don’t pay attention to Division I against Division III — this one should be fun to watch.
Springfield (6-3) at Fairmont (6-3)
Both of these teams need to win, but the loser might not be out of the running either.
After winning six of their first seven games, the Firebirds have had some defensive issues in back-to-back losses.
Take out the 64 points against Beavercreek and the Wildcats have had some trouble scoring down the stretch.
Alter (8-1) at CJ (7-2)
Eight straight wins for the Knights, who would likely host a first round game with one more win. Alter might not have talented running back John Bivens after an injury last week.
CJ will have senior quarterback Ryan Peltier at the controls. The Eagles dodged a bullet on a last-second field goal last Friday. Marcus Colvin’s club could lock up a home game if they can pull off a senior night win at Roger Glass Stadium.
Piqua (6-3) at Troy (7-2)
The longest running rivalry in the state writes another chapter on the Trojans’ home turf.
Troy is likely to be in win or lose in this one, the Trojans have reeled off six wins in a row.
It’s win or go home for the Indians. Piqua has won four of the last five games in the series.
It is the
Touchdown 7 Arby's Game of the Week
Brookville (6-3) at Franklin (7-2)
This one gets the Thursday night spotlight in the final week of the season.
Franklin was surprised by Oakwood last Friday so the Wildcats need to reclaim some momentum heading into the postseason. Brad Childers’ team is in win or lose, but they would host a game with one more victory.
The Division V Blue Devils would pick up a ton of points with a win over the D-III Wildcats. Brookville will likely be left out if they can’t pull off the upset on the road.
