Former Dayton Flyers forward Chris Johnson finds a new home in Europe

Former Dayton Flyers forward Chris Johnson signed to play with JL Bourg in  Bourg-en-Bresse, France, the team announced Wednesday.

There will be at least three former Flyers playing in France next season. Devin Oliver will play for Nanterre. Vee Sanford will spend his third straight season in France. He'll play for Limoges.

This will be the second time in three years Johnson has played in France. He played for BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque in 2017-18 before moving to Israel last season. He averaged 10.5 points in 14 games for Hapoel Jerusalem. His new home, Bourg-en-Bresse, is in eastern France, near the border with Switzerland.

In 2016-17, Johnson played in the NBA G-League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He played parts of four seasons with the Vipers. Johnson appeared in 147 NBA games in four seasons, most recently in 2015-16 with the Utah Jazz.

Johnson scored 1,467 points in his Dayton career (2008-12).

• Rob Lowery signed with Promitheas in Greece on July 11. He played last season in Poland with Torun, averaging 12.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game.

Lowery played two seasons with Dayton (2008-10), scoring 413 points.
