About Wright State: The Raiders have out-rebounded six of their last seven foes by at least six each game to hike their rebound margin to plus-3.3. … They went only 5 of 21 on 3's against Oakland, dropping to 33.8 percent this season. Opponents are shooting 37.3. … Gentry is a shade off the national lead in foul shooting with a .9459 (70 of 74) clip. He trails Oklahoma State's Lindy Watters III, who is shooting .9483 (55 of 58), while Nicholls State's Gavin Peppers is third at .9365 (59 of 63). … … Vest tied his career high with eight rebounds, notched five points and played his usual sound defense against Oakland. … Gentry had no points and three turnovers in the first half but 10 points and no turnovers after halftime.

About Oakland: The Titans have produced numerous NBA players, including Dave DeBusschere, Earl Cureton, Spencer Hayward and John Long, but none ever did what Antoine Davis pulled off against Wright State in a 79-58 win on Jan. 3. He had 48 points, one off the school record held by Archie Tullos, going 15 of 24 from the field and 10 of 15 on 3-pointers. The record for a Raider foe is 53 by Central Michigan's Tommy Johnson on Dec. 22, 1987. The coach's son went into Thursday's games second in the nation in scoring, first in 3-pointers made and attempted, fifth in field goals made and first in field-goal attempts. He's shooting 41.3 percent overall, 40.2 on 3's and 85.9 on foul shots. … The Titans fell at Northern Kentucky, 97-65, on Thursday, but Davis had 26 points. Nagy isn't planing a special defense for the freshman sensation because it could create leaks elsewhere, but he said: "I'm amazed he's shooting 40 percent from 3 with some of the shots he's taking. It just tells you how good a shooter he is."

Coming up: The Raiders are one game behind first-place Northern Kentucky in the league, and the two will meet at the Nutter Center at 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, on ESPNU.
