Here’s how rosters work in the G League, according to its website: “There are a minimum of 10 players on rosters, with two additional spots for players placed on the inactive/injury list. A team’s active roster may expand to up to 13 players if its parent club assigns players from the NBA roster.”

The Vipers’ season begins Nov. 3. The Vipers, an affiliate of the Houston Rockets, play at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.

Kendall Pollard is liked to be on the roster of the Salt Lake City Stars when training camp begins. He was signed and waved by the Utah Jazz. NBA teams can assign four cut players to their G League affiliates.

Pollard and Davis, both Chicago natives, finished their UD careers in March. Pollard scored 1,171 points and ranks 35th in school history. Davis scored 830 points and ranks 66th.
