Drew Swerlein, a 6-foot redshirt freshman guard from St. Francis de Sales High School in Perrysburg, Ohio, was the first walk-on to join the roster. He was on the bench Saturday when Dayton played Cedarville University in an exhibition game and played the final three minutes, scoring two points at the foul line.
Swerlein joined junior guard Camron Greer and redshirt sophomore guard Christian Wilson, the team’s two returning walk-ons.
