Three generations of Isaacs bowled together in the team event of the 81st Clark County Men’s Bowling Association tournament Feb. 13 at Shamrock Lanes, along with Bill Boysel and Tony Cooper.
“It’s fun,” Leroy said. “It was something I visualized happening, I didn’t really think it would happen right now.”
The Isaacs are a bowling family. Leroy has been a lifelong bowler, winning the county tournament several times, as well as the Clark County Masters in 1985.
Chuck was a collegiate bowler at Morehead State, and Jordan bowled at Shawnee High School.
The trio has combined for 21 300 games, including 15 by Leroy, who shot 300 just a few days before the tournament on Feb. 10, his first since 1993.
“It had been a long time since I had one,” Leroy said. “I don’t have the zip I used to have. Bowling isn’t a finesse game like it used to be.”
The team started slow and finished with a 3,015.
“We didn’t bowl real well,” Leroy said. “We all have the potential of bowling better than we did. It was unfortunate we didn’t get off to a real good start.”
Bowling together is something the family will never forget.
“I had a blast,” Jordan said. “It was the most fun I’ve had in a long time.”
