“He was a class act,” said Don “Monk” Meineke, an All-American on those early UD teams. “He was a great passer and rebounder and was always ready to play.
“He’s better off now. He was struggling and there was no recovery from that (disease). He was a good guy and good friend.”
Boyle is survived by his wife Margaret (Toey) and five children. Funeral arrangements are pending.
