Cincinnati Reds: Top prospect giving fans a different look every game

Is the Cincinnati Reds’ top prospect also a sartorial snob?

Someone just ashamed to let fans see him wearing the same thing twice?

The question must be asked after Nick Senzel showed up to work in a different uniform not once nor twice but five consecutive days upon reaching the major leagues last week.

The answer, though, is no.

It's just a coincidence that Senzel made his debut on Friday night when the Reds were wearing their normal white home uniforms then wore different historic alternates on Saturday and Sunday.

Where things really started to get weird was day four as a quick in the schedule had the Reds playing a fourth game in their series against the San Francisco Giants.

Since it was getaway day for both teams, they played an afternoon tilt. That meant the Reds wore their red jerseys, giving Senzel a fourth different look in as many days.

Finally, he showed up in Oakland on Tuesday night in the team’s gray road uniforms to complete the quinfecta.

Alas, the streak is set to come to an end Wednesday night when the Reds take on the Oakland A’s in game two of their series and presumably will be in the same uniforms for the second night in a row.

They will also try to get a hit for the first time in the series.
