Cincinnati Reds call up catcher, place closer on paternity list

The Cincinnati Reds today called up catcher Juan Graterol from Triple-A Louisville.

Graterol takes the roster spot of closer Raisel Iglesias, who was placed on the three-day paternity list.

In 58 games this season with Louisville, Graterol is hitting .249 with two home runs and 26 RBIs. He has started 57 games at catcher.

Graterol spent time in the major leagues the last three seasons with the Angels and Twins.

The Reds wrap up a three-game series vs. the Cubs today at 2:20 p.m.
