Cincinnati Bengals: Wide receiver John Ross cleared to practice

The Bengals offense got a boost with the return of wide receiver John Ross.

Ross was cleared today to return to practice, the team announced. He had been on injured reserved since Oct. 2 with a sternoclavicular injury suffered in Week 4 at Pittsburgh.

Ross can practice with the Bengals for 21 days without counting against the team’s 53-man roster. At the end of that period (Dec. 2, the Monday prior to the Bengals’ Week 13 game at Cleveland), he will be eligible to be active to the roster because he will have missed the required eight games since being placed on IR.

A first-round pick in 2017 out of the University of Washington, Ross has played in 20 career games (16 starts) with 37 receptions for 538 yards and 10 touchdowns. He started the first four games this season with 16 catches for 328 yards and three TDs.
