Reds manager apologizes for ‘inappropriate language’

Cincinnati Reds manager Bryan Price issued a statement via the team’s Twitter account this morning apologizing for his language in a pre-game rant Monday directed at reporters covering the team.

Price’s 5 1/2-minute tirade was laced with profanity.

“In my pre-game conversation with reporters yesterday, I used wholly inappropriate language to describe the media coverage of our team,” the statement said. “While I stand by the content of my message, I am sorry for the choice of words.”

The Reds face the Brewers at 8:10 p.m. today.
