Dragons’ rally overcomes Caps

Kurtis Muller belted a home run and drove in two runs, and the Dayton Dragons battled back from a four-run deficit to defeat the West Michigan Whitecaps 8-6 on Saturday night. The Dragons trailed by scores of 4-0 and 6-4 but came back with a four-run seventh inning to rally for the win.

Dragons reliever Ryan Kemp (1-0) tossed 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just one baserunner on a bunt single, to earn the win. Carlos Contreras pitched a perfect ninth for his third save.
