For roller coaster enthusiasts, one Ohio destination stands out from the rest.

Cedar Point, the Sandusky amusement park known as the “roller coaster capital of the world,” has 18 world-class coasters for riders of all levels of bravery.

While it may not be as famous or flashy as Cedar Point, King’s Island is a great local amusement park with its own Soak City and set of coasters to be proud of. The Banshee, which opened in 2014, holds the record for the world’s longest inverted roller coaster.

Kids can take a spin on the Woodstock Express but the more experienced can board Steel Vengeance, the tallest, fastest and longest hybrid roller coaster in the world introduced last year.

New this year is an interactive attraction called Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island. According to Cedar Point’s website the new attraction offers “mind-bending challenges and group competitions to secret missions and simple conversation starting – you’ll have to figure out who to side with and who to trust.”
