FULLER, Alton E. Alton E. Fuller, age 95, of Casstown, OH, passed away on July 17, 2020, at his residence. He was born on September 19, 1924, in Dayton, OH, to the late Ernest and Emma (McClellan) Fuller. He is survived by his three children: Danny (Winifred) Fuller of Brookville, OH; Larry (Bette Ann) Fuller of Manderville, LA, and Karen (Walker) Moore of Casstown, OH; sister, Dolores Sullivan of Collierville, TN; ten grandchildren: Jeff (Jodi) Fuller, David Fuller, Robert Fuller, Alan (Michelle) Staas, Chris Staas, Eric (Jill) Moore, Scott Moore, Heather (Kelly) Stevens, Jenny (John) Graham and Andy (Krissy) Fuller; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three and a half great-great-grandchildren and close friend, Judy Weisgarber of Dayton, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iris (Murphy) Fuller in 1978, and siblings: Florence, Ellen, Bud and Eva. Alton was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Dayton. He served his country in the US Army. He was in the European Theater Operation and served in Normandy with a chemical warfare unit. He was a tool maker with Delco Products for 43 years. He was a volunteer fireman with Ft. McKinley for ten years. He loved boating, camping, water skiing, traveling and playing soft balls into his 60's. His greatest joy was teasing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with crazy stories. Services will be at 12:00PM on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH, with interment to follow in Willow View Cemetery, Dayton, OH, with military honors. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00AM-12:00PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Facial masks will be provided and encouraged for those in attendance. The family would like to thank the crisis team of Ohio's Hospice of Miami County for their care to Alton in his final days.
