CORBITT, Jane Lynn

Age 81 of Englewood, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021, at Brookdale Centennial Park. She was born on September 21, 1939, in Montgomery, West Virginia, to the late Evelyn (Fields) and Frank Corbitt. She was a proud graduate of West Virginia University receiving both her BS and MS Degrees. Lynn taught 32 years of vocal music, mostly in Dayton Public Schools and was the director of very successful show choirs. She also served as choir director of Oakwood United Methodist Church, Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church and

Englewood United Methodist Church. She was a member

of OEA and the MOEA professional organizations, Tipp City Eagles and a charter member of the Gourmet Club. Lynn also enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, BINGO, visiting Las Vegas, doing crossword puzzles, swimming, playing the piano and visiting with her friends. Lynn was a resident of Brookdale Centennial Park for the past 1 ½ years and during that time she enjoyed playing bingo, playing with the facility cat, Cali and sharing time with other residents and aides. She is

survived by her cousin: Nancy (Jim) Curry of Roanoke, VA, and her children and grandchildren: Matthew and William Curry, Ethan and Jackson, cousin: Cheryl Fields of Gaithersburg, MD, cousin: Kathy (Eddie) Seacrist of Falls View, WV, special friend: Virginia "Ginny" Greene of Dayton, and many other friends. She was also preceded in death by several aunts and uncles. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Brookdale Centennial Park and Brookdale

Hospice for the wonderful care given to Lynn. A walk-through visitation will be held from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). Memorial services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Bobbie Predmore officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church Choir or to Brookdale Hospice.
