There will be strong wind gusts of around 35-45 mph starting this afternoon as rain chances begin.

After the sun goes down, we will see rain chances quickly rise, with showers being likely by 8 p.m. Winds will still be strong, though somewhat weaker than during the day with gusts as high as 34 mph.
Overnight temperatures will fall to around 35 degrees.
Starting before dawn on Thursday, the NWS expects the rain to turn to snow, which will remain as a lingering chance of snow throughout the day. The NWS said that up to an inch of snow may accumulate, with local higher amounts possible.
The snow and pre-dawn cold will bring slick spots on roadways and sidewalks as the snow builds up and water on the ground freezes.
Skies will be cloudy, with temperatures starting around 36 degrees then falling as the day goes on.
Once night falls, the temperature will continue to drop, eventually bottoming out around 14 degrees. Skies will be mostly cloudy, and we will still see breezy winds.
The NWS predicts that Christmas Day will be partly sunny, breezy and cold, with highs only reaching around 21 degrees. Clouds will gradually clear as the day goes on.
Overnight on Friday, the NWS predicted skies will continue to clear as temperatures fall to around 16 degrees.
