The $4.16 million total award nearly triples the amount funded in each of the past three years. The increase is a result of the recently approved state budget.
Ohio’s Rape Crisis Program Trust Fund, administered by Yost’s office,is providing the funding.
The 31 rape crisis centers around Ohio will now each receive a grant of $120,774.

In addition to the new grants to the rape crisis centers, the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence will receive a training and technical assistance award of $416,000, compared to the $142,500 it received last year.
The Miami Valley rape crises centers are at the YWCA of Dayton, Project Woman, Family Violence Prevention Center of Greene County and the Abuse and Rape Crisis Shelter of Warren County.
