1 injured in small plane crash in Central Ohio

State troopers said a man suffered non-life threatening injures in a single-engine plane crash in Union County, Ohio Sunday evening.

According to a release, state troopers and medics were dispatched to the area of County Road 33 in Jerome Township, Union County around 6:45 p.m. Sunday after a single-engine plane crashed landed.

Trooper said the plane suffered an engine failure shortly after takeoff and crash landed.

The operator, identified as 53-year-old Todd Stanton, was transported to Riverside Hospital in Columbus with non-life threatening injuries.

No other details were available and the crash remains under investigation by the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
