There have been a total of 56,183 cases and 2,907 deaths from coronavirus in Ohio as of Saturday, July 4, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

52,488 cases and 2,657 deaths have been confirmed by the state. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 8,111 people have been hospitalized. A total of 39,903 people have presumably recovered.

Coronavirus: Complete coverage

A total of 7,443 healthcare workers have tested positive, making up 13 percent of the cases.

Gov. Mike DeWine will not host a press conference discussing the coronavirus today.
