E. coli outbreak in 5 states: Ohio reports 5 cases

More people have been sickened in a multi-state E. coli outbreak with an unknown source, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Health officials said so far, 96 people have been infected with E. coli O103 in five states, including Ohio, which has five cases reported.

Kentucky has the most cases with 46 ill people. Tennessee has 26 cases, there are 17 cases in Georgia and Virginia has two cases, according to the CDC.

While there have been hospitalizations connected to this outbreak, no deaths have been reported.
