Ridgewood Schools announce 2020 alumni award winners

Ridgewood Schools have announced the winners of its 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award as well as the winners of its inaugural Honorary Alumni Award, according to a release from the school.

The Distinguished Alumni Award winners are Jeanne Heckler Lampe, Springfield native, and Scott Thacker, Springfield resident, both of class 1969.

Lampe is the former President and CEO of 3G Graphic Solutions, a community member who currently serves as a trustee of Ridgewood School and a nationally recognized sportswoman, the release stated.

Thacker, who now lives in San Francisco is the CEO and a board member of Ivory Consulting, serves as chair of the board of trustees of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation, and on the board of a number of organizations.

The inaugural Honorary Alumni Award winners are Ruth Kunkel Bayley, Pauline Chakeres, Patrick Field, Thalia Pavlatos, Dr. Sally Abbott Pomputius and Dr. J. M. Pomputius.

These alumni were recognized for serving the school with distinction by making a significant contribution of time, effort or resources and by serving as role models for students, the release stated.

The Honorary Alumni were recognized for serving Ridgewood School with distinction by making a significant contribution of time, effort, or resources to the school’s welfare, reputation, or prestige and by serving as role models for Ridgewood School students.

All recipients could not be celebrated this fall due to the coronavirus, but they will be recognized next fall at Ridgewood School’s Earth to Table Dinner, according to the release.
