Responding to our query about Donald Trump’s nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, we received this thought:
“When I read that Donald Trump had been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, I had to check to make certain today was not April 1. How things like vowing to force Mexico to build a monumental wall, or offending Britons to the extent that they compile a massive petition to ban him from their country will further international peace are beyond me. I can only guess that what we have here is something like what happened when President Obama was awarded a Peace Prize — not so much for anything he had done (he had barely been inaugurated), but rather as a veiled way of saying, ‘The rest of the world thanks God that the United States did not elect another president with the same foreign policy as his predecessor had.’ ” — RON RODENBURG
