Police responded to the Parkville Licensing Office at 11:25 a.m. after receiving reports of an armed woman, the newspaper reported. Officers arrested the woman as she was entering her car in the parking lot.

The officers "jumped out and jumped a woman who was trying to get into her car," Kathy Coulter, a witness, told the Star. "They took her down and handcuffed her right away."

The woman, who was taken to an area hospital after she was handcuffed, has not been identified, the newspaper reported.

No one else was injured, police said.
