Thieves drive truck into Houston shoe store, steal dozens of pairs of sneakers, police say

More than two dozen pairs of sneakers were stolen from a Houston store that has been open just two weeks, police said.

Police said a stolen Ford F-250 truck smashed into the WSS Shoes store around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, KTRK reported.

According to police, surveillance cameras showed several people exiting the truck and filling up garbage bags full of shoes, KHOU reported.

The thieves left empty boxes of Nike, Adidas and Vans brands, KTRK reported. Some bags also were left in the parking lot, the television station reported.

The store opened Aug. 3, KHOU reported.
