David Rader, Director of the Midwest Chapter of Equusearch said 40 people, including a team from Indiana, departed from the Dayton Air Show parking Saturday to search for Cheryl Coker.
“We’re basically arm-to-arm,” he said.
Rader urged people to have faith that they will find Coker.
“You never lose hope because if there’s a place you haven’t searched, you have to go and do it. You never lose hope that one day you’re going to get lucky and find what you’re looking for. You can’t lose hope, as long as they’re missing, you have to bring your A-game to the table.”
Coker disappeared on Oct. 2, 2018, about three hours after dropping her daughter off at school. Her car was found the next day in a Kroger parking with her personal belongings still in it.
She had filed for a divorce from her husband William Coker just under two weeks before she disappeared.
Police named William Coker as their main suspect, but he has not been charged.
A candlelight vigil was held in Coker's honor on Wednesday to mark the one-year anniversary of her disappearance.
