South Korean K-Pop star Goo Hara found dead

Goo Hara, a former K-pop band member, was found dead Sunday in her home in Seoul, South Korea, The New York Times reported. She was 28.

The singer, who was known as Hara, was found dead by the Gangnam Police, the newspaper reported. Police are investigating the cause of death.

The singer was part of the popular K-pop girl group Kara. Their first album, "The First Blooming," was released in 2017.

In May, Hara was found unconscious after an alleged suicide attempt, The South China Morning Post reported.

Goo was a member of Kara from 2008 to 2016, Rolling Stone reported. She then embarked on a solo singing and acting career, the newspaper reported.

Goo's first solo EP, released in 2015, rose to No. 4 in the Korean music charts, according to the BBC.
