William Lamont Holder, 54, of Hanover, Maryland, was also ordered Wednesday by a federal judge to three years supervised release as well as paying $1.5 million in restitution.

Holder, who owned Safe Harbour Wine Storage, stored and transported expensive bottles of wine for collectors and commercial customers from 2013 to 2017.

For a monthly fee, Holder would take the wine to the storage facility in Glen Burnie where it was inventoried and stored.

However, unknown to his clients, Holder was selling the bottles to wine retailers throughout the country.

He did not have a license to sell wine in the state of Maryland during this time.
