The book on RB Elijah Holyfield, signed to the #Eagles active roster from Carolina's practice squad: Extremely tough, physical runner. Someone to develop. Sturdy build at 215 pounds. Had a good preseason with Carolina - 21 rushes, 79 yards, TD. And yes, son of Evander, legend ...

Holyfield rushed for 1,018 yards during his junior year at Georgia. He declared for the NFL draft but was not taken by any teams, and signed with Carolina as a free agent.
To make room for Holyfield, the Eagles placed defensive end Daeshon Hall on injured reserve, the team said.
The Eagles, who will host the Seattle Seahawks in a wild-card game Sunday afternoon, are expected to have Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard available in the backfield. However, Sanders injured his ankle during Philadelphia's victory against the New York Giants, while Howard had one carry that was negated by a penalty, the Inquirer reported.
