Six Flags closes train for inspection after derailment

The train engine derailed about 3 p.m., Six Flags Over Georgia said in a statement.

The train cars carrying passengers stayed on the track, the theme park said.

The train was evacuated, and six riders asked to be evaluated, the statement said. No guests were hurt during the incident, Six Flags said.

"The train is closed for further inspection," the statement said. "The safety of our guests and employees remains our highest priority."
