A preliminary cause has been determined in the death of Disney actor Cameron Boyce.
An updated statement from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner said preliminary information suggests Boyce died at age 20 under natural circumstances.
"The final cause and manner of death will be determined at a later date," department spokeswoman Sarah Ardalani said.
On Monday, Boyce's family members said in a statement that the Disney Channel star suffered from epilepsy, and a seizure is what caused his death.
"We are still trying to navigate our way through this extremely heart-wrenching time, and continue to ask for privacy so that the family and all who knew and loved him can grieve his loss and make arrangements for his funeral—which in and of itself, is agonizing," the family said in a statement through a spokesperson, according to E! News.
Funeral arrangements have not been publicly announced.
On Wednesday, Victor Boyce, the actor's father, posted an image he said was taken hours before his death.
"I miss him terribly. I hope that no one ever has to feel the agony I’m feeling but no one is immune to tragedy," the Instagram post read. "The outpouring of love and support our family continues to receive is so beautiful and appreciated. Thank you all for helping us through our worst possible situation."
