Second Oklahoma teen dies after driver crashes into group of high school students

Two students are dead after police say a driver crashed into a group of students running in Moore on Monday.

Police say Max Townsend drove a truck onto the sidewalk and hit the group of six students.

Rachel Freeman, a senior, died Monday after the crash and authorities announced sophomore Yurudia Martinez died from her injuries Tuesday.

Officials say the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. when the track team was out for a run outside of the school.

Police say Townsend kept driving -- hitting a few other cars and a mailbox before trying to run.

Authorities arrested him a few blocks away.

Townsend is being held in jail on one count of first-degree manslaughter and six counts of leaving the scene of an injury accident.
