A Cincinnati police officer went above the call of duty to help a 2-year-old boy he found wandering the streets alone in the middle of the night.
Officer Jamie Landrum bought clothes, shoes, fresh diapers and a coat for the child.
A photo shared to the Cincinnati Police Department’s Facebook page shows Officer Landrum lying on the floor with the boy at the police station, trying to get him to take a nap.
According to WXIX, the boy's mother came to the police station, but later admitted to being intoxicated.
She was arrested on a child abuse charge, and the boy has been placed in the care of a relative.
