Uber Comfort offers newer midsize cars, extra legroom and the in-app option to request an ideal temperature or a quiet ride without conversation.
"This collection of rider preference features is unique from those found in Uber Black and Black SUV rides, which provides you access to more exclusive in-app options such as request help with luggage, premium support, and pickup by professional drivers," the news release said.
In May, it was announced that Uber Black and Black SUVs would have in-app options similar to Uber Comfort, but would also include luggage assistance and an extended pickup period.
Uber Comfort is available for riders in Atlanta; Austin, Texas; Baltimore; Boston; Charlotte; Chicago; Dallas; Durham, North Carolina; Houston; Honolulu; Indianapolis; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Memphis, Tennessee; Milwaukee; Nashville, Tenessee; New Jersey; New Orleans; Phoenix; Pittsburgh; Portland; Raleigh, North Carolina; Rhode Island; Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, Texas; San Diego; San Francisco; Seattle; St. Louis; Tampa Bay, Florida; and Washington, D.C.
