According to The Kansas City Star, any child under the age of 48 months is eligible to participate, and the winner also receives a $25,000 grand prize.
“As we celebrate our 10th anniversary of Photo Search, we’re extremely proud to look back on all of the babies that we’ve celebrated and to continue Gerber’s long-standing heritage of recognizing that every baby is a Gerber baby,” CEO Bill Partyka said in a news release, adding, “We always strive to make each year of Photo Search bigger and better than the last, and we encourage families all over the country to submit their little ones for a chance to be a part of this special year with us.”
The cash prize for 2020 is only about half of what it has been for a few past competitions, and a Gerber spokesperson told Fox Business the changes are strategic.
"The winner's prize, which will be revealed at the time of the winner's announcement, will include cash and other valuable gifts and opportunities," the spokesperson said.
Parents must submit application forms and photos and videos of each child they plan to enter.
The contest concludes Feb. 21, and grand prize judging is slated for completion by Feb. 28.
