The two words together are enough to make you start looking for your car keys for a run to McDonald’s.

>>BEST OF DAYTON: 3 fries that are a cut above the rest

Whether you order shoestring or steak cut, crispy or soggy, traditional or something crazy like sweet potato fries, there’s no wrong answer on fries.

Saturday is National French fry day, even though the tasty treats are likely from Belgium (let the foodies fight that one out.) Several national chain restaurants are offering sweet deals on the salty treats. Below you will find a few.

(Note: Not every restaurant in a chain may be honoring the deals, so be sure to check with local restaurants to confirm which deals are available before you go. Most offers are dine-in only and can’t be used with any other discount or coupons. Prices may vary with location.)
